Quotes Are Estimates Until They’re In Writing
A price given over the phone or during a video walkthrough is our best estimate based on what you’ve told us or shown us. It becomes a binding number only after our office sends you a written quote and you confirm your move date. If moving day turns up more items, more stairs, or a longer carry than what was described up front, the final price can change to reflect the actual work — we’ll tell you before we start, not after.
Deposit & Cancellation
Most moves require a $150 refundable deposit to hold your date. That deposit comes off your final invoice — it isn’t an extra charge. Cancel or reschedule at least 72 hours before your move and the deposit is fully refunded; cancellations inside that window may forfeit it, since it’s a truck and crew we’ve already turned other work away to hold for you.
Valuation & Liability Coverage
Every move includes $1M in cargo coverage while your belongings are on our truck. Full value protection is the federal default, and $0.60 per pound per item applies only if you waive it in writing — the same minimum that applies industry-wide, not something unique to us. If you’d rather have fuller replacement-value coverage on higher-value items, ask about it before move day so it’s arranged in time.
Scheduling Changes & Payment
Move dates shift — Missouri weather alone guarantees that some winters. Tell us as early as you can so we can rework the schedule around your crew. Payment is due at the end of the job unless other arrangements were made in writing beforehand, and the final invoice reflects only the hours, materials, or add-ons you actually used.
